Great questions no easy answer as your needs determine what package is best for you. There are two types of bundle packages, Cable service and phone service bundles. Each bundle includes the following: phone, television, and Internet service. Phone Company's bundle will include satellite TV, regular phone landline, DSL as the Internet service, and even cellular service is made available. Cable companies offer a package that would include cable TV, cable modem, and broadband phone service. Following are some of the providers and some of the services they offer: Verizon bundled packages: this is a phone company which offers the aforementioned standard services offered by phone companies. They offer cellular service with their bundles. They have various packages to include two to four of the services clearly the more services you bundle the higher the discount. Comcast, Time Warner and COX are all cable TV companies that provide the standard cable internet phone packages as previously aforementioned. They feature cable TV, cable internet and cable phone service. Again the more services and products you bundle, the better the discount. Cable and phone companies run monthly promotions, so before you chose, weigh your pros and cons. Some of the monthly promotions will include first month internet service, free activation and even a free iPod shuffle with free modem and wireless router. There are deals out there. I find that the advantage to Verizon lies with the cellular phone option. If you use them as your carrier then you may be better off getting the rest of your services through them. I prefer the cable company package as the internet seems to run a bit better and faster, though if your system goes down due to power outages, then you will also be down with your phone services. But make sure to find out if you can get some of these services separately elsewhere as the savings can prove to be significant. I found an internet phone service called Sunrocket that beats out any phone company and any cable company offer. Overall the options available truly offer good services and packages for your consideration. The key is to remember what you want and who can provide it best for the least amount of money while not sacrificing service. |
