You can get a local area code for this free phone number or what they call an anywhere phone number, you choose. I personally like to use it as my office phone number for my home office. I used this service through Vonage for a long time but they charged me for an extra line all together as oppose to offering this for free. Because the service is provided via the internet, having a 911 service is what has been become difficult with some of these providers. The providers that do provide a 911 service charge additionally for it. But Sunrocket does not charge anything extra for their 911 service. It is an enhanced 911 service. If you were to ever call 911 from a regular land line you would have to give your whereabouts or your home address. With the enhanced service provided by Sunrocket when you set up your account all your information is there. When you call the 911 emergency responses they will have all the details available to get to you quickly. By far, Sunrocket proves to be the best internet phone in terms of value and features. Some of the other features include 2 free directory assistance phone calls per month as well as a credit of $3 per month towards international calls. Considering that Sunrockets charges 3 cents per minute for phone calls to 41 different countries that is giving you 100 minutes of free international calling per month. These countries are not obscured countries, we are talking about calling countries like Europe, Japan, China, Malaysia, Monterey to name a few. This feature alone, gives Sunrocket the edge as one of the best internet phones available today. Sunrocket is worth considering, and if the country you frequently call is not included in the 41 few, their rates have still set the industry lowest standards. You will find that you will save more money with their service than with any other VoIP provider. |
